For almost twenty years, Josue Ibañez has been passionately exploring the art of storytelling through modern digital and physical experiences. With a focus on inviting people to see environments from fresh perspectives and embracing transformative possibilities, he crafts experiences and artwork that foster connections and inspire reflection and awe.
In co-founding Cocolab International, a leading multimedia studio in Latin America, Josue played a pivotal role in shaping the digital art landscape in the region. Leading diverse teams of artists, designers, and developers, they collaborated to create immersive experiences and multimedia artworks that have been showcased globally, from prestigious events like SXSW in Austin and Today's Art in Japan to innovative spaces like Day for Night in Houston, Black Matte Projects in New York City, and Meow Wolf in Las Vegas.
As the founder and creative director of OFFF Mexico, Josue established one of Mexico City's most impactful international design and digital art festivals. This platform has served as a catalyst for creative inspiration, bringing together artists from around the world and nurturing the next generation of creative talent.
In his current role as an independent creator, Josue collaborates with esteemed global clients such as The Sphere Entertainment and Tiffany & Co. His recent digital immersive artwork has been showcased at The Design Museum in Barcelona, showcasing his commitment to pushing the boundaries of immersive and experiential design. Through this approach, Josue continues to explore new possibilities at the intersection of technology, art, and human experience.
