Dan Matutina
Dan Matutina is a graphic designer and illustrator based in the Philippines. He is a founding partner at Plus63 and the Hydra Design Group, and a recipient of the ADC Young Guns award in 2013.
Dan has collaborated with a diverse range of international clients and brands, showcasing his unique style characterized by angular graphic shapes and hand-painted textures. His illustrations have been featured in various mediums, including print, digital, and animation, and have made an impact on renowned publications such as WIRED Magazine, Fast Co, The Guardian, and The Wall Street Journal. With an impressive client list that includes Apple, Google, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, and Airbnb.
At Plus63, he develops graphic design identities and systems for brands. The studio experiments with new ideas, extending its scope to include prototyping furniture pieces or custom objects for memorable retail experiences, developing business strategies for brands, designing solutions for nonprofits, and taking on extensive projects such as rebranding a university's athletic program.
Dan has also worked with studios and agencies such as Pentagram, Frog Design, CP+B, Wieden+Kennedy, Droga5, Leo Burnett NY, Ogilvy & Mather NY and Tool of NA. He is currently the Vice President of Communication Design Association of the Philippines (CDAP).
